General Care

We cannot guarantee the removal of any stains, some linings that are heavily soiled may be difficult to clean well. Stain removal is an additional service and is not part of a basic clean.

On suede, nubuck and some leathers, some stains may not be removable,

It is important to note that stands repairs and defects or faults which have previously been treated or camouflaged in manufacture may become more apparent after the cleaning process, we may be unable to disguise natural flaws or adhesives employed by the manufacturer - therefore, all items are accepted by us at your own risk for cleaning.

As leather bags age and fade, the dirt on the bag can sometimes hide this wear and tear and can be exposed by cleaning. If this should happen, we will notify you and offer an upgrade in the service to restore the colour to those areas, It will not be the cleaning process that will cause this damage and so we will not be liable for it

After applying some of our services to your handbag or item, the texture may alter slightly from the original. The worse the damages is, the more products we will need to apply therefore possibly changing the texture.

We do make every effort to restore the item as close to its original finish as possible.

When leather becomes dirty, it can develop a shine. After the cleaning of the leather, the shine will be removed restoring the leather to how it was originally. We accept no liability for a complaint in such circumstances. A shine can be increased with additional services if required.

When restoring a full item of leather we will endeavour to match the colour to the most original part of the leather which is usually found inside the pocket or in an area which has been exposed to very little sunlight or wear and tear. We will match to such an area unless we receive different direction at the booking in stage.

When restoring the colour to only a part of the leather, we will match the surrounding area to help it blend in better. The item will always be cleaned first to equalise the colour as best as possible. However, if the weather is somewhat worn in other areas, this may highlight these areas further.

With Suede and Nubuck - some types of stains may not be removable and stains already present may become more obvious with cleaning. Because of the nature of the material, significant improvements are not always possible. In some cases, colours can become faded with cleaning and embossed prints may become affected. All items are therefore only accepted by us for work at your own risk.
